July 2022

Life Matters' staff came away with positive feelings about this year's Summit, and they were confirmed by our guests' evaluations. Here's what some had to say:

[This Summit] has been a blessing to me not only in my pregnancy center contacts, but in my personal and family life. I appreciate the pure biblical messages!

[The Summit] helps us as a center to grow.

This was a wonderful few days. I am feeling refreshed and encouraged. Thank you!

The plenary and workshop topics were just what I needed.

My heart was blessed and I'm leaving with many good things to think about.

It was my first time and I thought it was all great!!

Can't wait [to return next year]!

My mind is exploding ideas

You can see photos here and here. We had a great group of exhibitors, and a large number of prizes for our Exhibitor Passport drawing. Andy Merritt and Jim Sprague knocked it out of the park in their plenary sessions. Mary Margaret Gibson (EvanTell) and Dr. Stan Haegert (among others) returned to give helpful and hopeful workshops. Newcomers Stuart and Vickie Carver from Family God's Way led three workshops, and Kim Ketola from Cradle My Heart led two. Worship time was a highlight, with an ensemble led by Craig Perry of Forest Hills Baptist Church. And we tried out a couple "new" items -- a sing-along around the fireplace and a directors' roundtable.

Overall, we hosted representatives from 33 PCCs in 10 US states plus Chile. Crossroads Care Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, brought 11 people from that center, and Pregnancy Helpline of St. Joseph County (Sturgis, MI) brought 9. Several other centers came in groups of 5 and 6. This is what we like to see because it means they're using the Summit for team-building.

Regarding next year, give a listen to David Bereit who will be our featured speaker May 17-18, 2018:

Also on the docket for next year: Jor-El Godsey (Heartbeat International), Derrick Tennant (stand-up comic), Christen Pollo (Students for Life of Michigan), Jim Quist (CPA), Jennifer McDonald (Blue Water PCC in Port Huron, MI, on adoption), and Carolyn Doyle (Lakeshore Pregnancy Centers). Plan now to attend!
