Pro-life partners in Papua New Guinea

Bill and Lori Smith are missionaries in Goroka, Papua New Guinea. Bill's focus is the Goroka Baptist Bible College, and Lori's is providing nursing care at the SEIGU Medical Clinic.

A third of Lori's patients are pregnant and many want abortions. Ultrasound equipment and training that Life Matters helped Lori acquire has saved many lives.

Both love children passionately, and have proven it by raising four of their own and adopting two PNG boys. Premature and unwanted babies born at the clinic often spend weeks or days with the Smiths until they're stable or have found a home. The Lord has marvelously used this "baby ministry" to open doors for church planting in the babies' home villages.

Bill and Lori are wonderful examples of selfless, compassionate ministry. Read one of our blog posts about their work: The Witch & the Sanctity of Human Life
