We love David for his poetry that illuminates and elevates the sanctity of human life -- words such as, "What is man, that You are mindful of him?" and, "I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made!"
Did you know that David's biography is an excellent lesson in what it means to follow the biblical pro-life ethic? With one glaring exception, he's a great example of someone who respects life and treats people as God intends. Even that terrible episode with Bathsheba and Uriah, in which he utterly failed to uphold the principle, we find valuable instruction for how to avoid similar situations and how to be restored after a fall.
Download our Bible study which examines David's commitment to the biblical pro-life ethic through three episodes in his life. It would make a great adult Sunday school lesson for Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (January 15, 2017).
The study is also combined with three new sermon outlines for this year's Pastors' Handbook update (also free). Check out what else is new for Sanctity of Human Life Sunday 2017.
